Production Art
Back at the agency I wasn’t so much the graphic designer as I was the Graphic Artist or Production Artist. As such, my role was more to implement design work initiated by the Design Director. Taking those designs and turning them into printable collaterals, adapting them into various sizes and shapes for newspapers, and also adapting them for the websites. Of course, it was a tremendous training ground for the work I’d do later in my career as the in-house graphic designer at a manufacturer as well as stuff I’d take on as a freelance designer, working without a net.
