BBBS Survivor Fundraisers

When Covid killed in-person fundraisers for the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Sudbury agency, they found a “Survivor” themed elimination draw fundraiser. It started with beer, moved on to wine, moved on to gift cards and finally just to cash. I had a hard time designing for this at first, as it seemed explaining the rules for it superceded everything else, but over time I knew the audience they were playing to knew the rules so I could start focusing on the kids again, and giving it some personality. What might not be known to non-Sudbury locals, is that Sudbury is sometimes referred to as “Suds”, as is beer… so calling it “Survivor Suds” was a double play on words.
