Drawing Rey from Star Wars: The Force Awakens – Day 3

Work continues…

The hand and lightsaber are obviously still very rough.

Fans will no doubt say “Hey, that’s not Luke’s old lightsaber from the movie! And it’s gold!”… and yeah, right on both counts. I imagine that in the next movie, Rey will probably end up building her own lightsaber – it’s a rite of passage for Jedi in their training. I used the basic design of her staff as the foundation for this one. As for the gold saber, well, blue and green are pretty well played out. Violet was used for Mace Windu in the prequels… gold is pretty much all there is left as far as basic colours to base a lightsaber on.
