“ATLANTIC” – Scriptapalooza Quarterfinalist

Wow! Very cool. I just got the email from Scriptapalooza – Quarterfinalists have been announced. I amble over to the site (I was sitting down, so I didn’t have to amble far), and there it was, amongst all the other titles and names… “Atlantic by Geoff Morton”.

For those who know me, “Atlantic” is my newest screenplay, which I wrote on and off from last to this spring. It’s also my graphic novel, of which I’m currently in the pre-production stage.

So, semifinalists will be announced August 6 (or so), and at that point I’ll know if I’m moving on. But at the very least, quarterfinals are top 7 or 8% of almost 5000 entries, and it’s a comfort to know that the story I’m planning to invest hundreds more hours into designing and illustrating (after spending hundreds writing it) has a solid enough base that I made it this far.
